Smooth Move Removals

Although smooth move staff are all very professional, pleasant & polite to deal with, make sure you read the contract small print. We have had our belongings in storage for with them for seven months due to the fact that we were in a chain to buy our next property. We were given a fixed quote for removals and storage, I explained at the time that we could be in between homes for anything up to a year, despite this when we were finally ready to get our belongings back I was told that there would be an increased charge due to the original quote expiring (after 6 months).

This has left a sour taste with us feeling that we have been scammed & this is a warning to other potential customs customers that you should be aware of them changing prices once they have all of your belongings.

Please make sure you read the contract small print to prevent this from happening to you. I will carry on posting this warning online to several other review sites in the hope that smooth move removals get in touch with me to refund the extra money that they charged me.

To top it off it has now come to light that they have lost one of our boxes and guess what ….. Due to it containing valuables we are not covered, says so in the small print. I haven’t even previously mentioned that they smashed and broke the legs off one of our display tables. Honestly guys proceed with caution!

If they do decide to refund my money I will of course retract my negative review’s and post another report stating that they have decided to put this sorry situation right. I will be posting another negative review in 48 hours on another major review site should smooth move fail to rectify this, I will carry on doing this until they do.

The team did a superb job of moving me and my mountain of 'stuff' to my new home. The team arrived promptly and set to work straightaway. The team were very courteous, obliging, and respectful when handling my property. They even supplied runners for the floors. Being a gardening fan I had to take numerous large plants in pots with me, this wasn't an issue for them. After 4 van trips they had moved all my belongings from a 2 bed, garage and garden into a one bed with a shed. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The team had a calm approach which is just what you need with the stress of moving!! The standard I received from them was excellent value for money. I have used a more well known national removal firm in the past and they where inferior in comparison to Smooth Move Removals. I can not praise them enough, thankyou team. Highly Recommended !!

Phil & his team were helpful from making first contact.

We had some large, heavy furniture. A large sea kayak. Lots of fragile stuff. A real mixture. 200 square feet of a storage unit full.

It was carefully packed and delivered to Perth, Scotland. Arrived on time & unpacked with care.

Staff were helpful & polite throughout.

Communication was excellent.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Smooth Move.
